marriage failure antipode!

With these, no marriage can fail. I have attended a few marriage seminars and conferences. I have read a few books on marriage and relationships but I discovered that to make marriage work, we may only need to pay attention to and work on some basic qualities. Check any marriage that has failed and see if these fruits of the Spirit were present or worked upon: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23. Marriage does not thrive on talent, gifts, intellectual strength etc. The best CEO may fail in marriage. The most talented actor may fail in marriage. A psychologist or even a counsellor may fail in marriage, except one consciously and prayerful seek and possess the fruit of the Spirit. "How about if he doesn't love me anymore', must I still stay?'. If you truly love him (remember the first fruit of the Spirit is love), with your love blended with forbearance, it may still work. 'I am depressed and stressed. I want out!". You were depressed because you didn't guard your joy. Joy is the second fruit of the Spirit. "There is no peace in my home". How did you lose it? You hardly lose what you value. Peace is the third fruit of the Spirit. If you had it and guard it". It will still be there. "He is unfaithful" Are you still faithful and do you have faith that "With God all things are possible to him that believes" Mark9:23. If you believe, it will work. I may go on and on...but the morale of the story is for us to consciously work on ourselves to possess the fruits of the Spirit.
